Kei Car Story on FP Makes me Sad. Simply because the first car i ever drive with my own hand and foot is one of those, a Suzuki Wagon R. Rebadged in indonesia as a Suzuki Karimun.

This car maybe familiar for you that plays Gran Turismo. It's small, light, quite agile, but because it's a bit too tall the car was scary in high speeds. The top speed is about 100 mph, if you got enough balls and enough runway to max it out, simply because the gearing was very tall, for efficiency sake.

Look at that wheelbase!
This car is even shorter and narrower than a smart fortwo, just in case you're wondering how small is this.

And that's the interior. Plastics everywhere. But that seats is quite a nice touch..

That's your cargo. As long as you only carries weekly shopping, that's enough.

And That's your faithful inline 3 engine, producing 63 horses when it was new, and it's all crammed on that tiny bonnet.

I think it's such a shame to kill those kei cars. It could make a good sportscar, in my mind. Plus because the Mini is getting Bigger, we need the new mini, some say. And plus, if the roof is a bit lower, it could be quite badass tiny car. What do you think?

I thought these were bigger than Kei cars, but I might be wrong. Anyway, I see these in Europe as well. Usually with someone behind the wheel who was alive during WW2.

Well, wiki says this is a kei.

and actually that's quite make sense, because the pedals is so light. Altough because it's lightness, it's tends to stall.

Suzuki WagonR! What a delight to find another guy who had one. I had it many many many years back, and back then it was the best car available for common folk out here. It is still one of the most popular vehicles here, and I liked only one thing about this car. It was practical. That's about the only thing I remember. And yes, that engine with that gearbox made it quite boring to drive.

Your clutch pedal seems to be a little amiss. Anything wrong with it?

Four year old reply ftw.

You are both right and wrong, the Wagon R sold in Europe was actually the ‘Wagon R+’ which is bigger than a kei car - but the original Wagon Rs sold in Japan are smaller and fit within kei car regulations.
